Easy American Hamburger Goulash

A simple healthy and old-fashioned comfort dinner at its best. Perfect for Weight Watchers when made with extra-lean ground beef.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (8 ounces) elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound extra-lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 small cans tomato soup
  • 1 small can drained diced tomatoes
  • 1 small can drained rotel tomatoes
  • Pinch of brown sugar
  • Splash of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
  • Meanwhile spray olive oil in a large skillet, or dutch oven, over medium heat. Stir in cut up onion, and pepper into the skillet and cook. Set aside afterwards.
  • Cook the beef. Afterwards add in onion and pepper and add salt, pepper.
  • Stir in the tomatoes, tomato soup, Worcestershire sauce , brown sugar , and sugar. Simmer until heated thoroughly.
  • Stir in the drained macaroni and combine well. Enjoy!

Weight Watchers points: 6 points

If you want to add more flavor and not watching the WW points add cheese!

Cheesy: Stir in or top with your favorite grated or shredded cheese. (A cup of cheddar cheese mixed in adds the extra flavor you will love).
